Lindbergh is awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor

Charles A. Lindbergh made the first nonstop transatlantic crossing by air, landing in Paris on 21 May 1927. A Captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps Reserve, he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
